The administration has been notified there have been problems with the website. To our knowledge, nothing is has crashed but there may have been a server error with the host site.

Should anyone experience problems, please let the admins know the message, time, and date of the problem. The email address is easy to remember since it is webmaster at this domain name.

Arrgh!

Some visitors may have noticed a database error when logging on today. And I take full blame.

The webhost I use grants me a ton of space. I offered some of it to a friend so she and her husband could work on some sites and stuff. Over time, the domains and databases and installs got to be very confusing!

So I emailed them and asked how much longer they needed the space (it had been over a year). They had recently come to the same conclusion I had in that with all of us using the same account, keeping track of users and stuff was getting confusing. They decided to get their own space and have been moving their things over.

As proof of the confusion, when I did the install for this forum, I accidentally selected one of their domains as "host" for the database (mySQL). So as they did maintenance and moved, deleted, renamed, etcetera, none of us realized that the database was in jeopardy.

Today they deleted/moved the domain and there went the database! Luckily, with the recent upgrade of the board, I had completed a backup.

I went to the phpBB site, checked out their knowlege base, and figured out what to do!

The database is now on the correct domain and that should be that!

Sorry for any problems anyone had.
